2004 REALTOR AWARD WINNERS

November 23, 2004 - At the annual Installation and Awards Party on Friday, December 3, 2004, The Austin Board of REALTORS® (ABoR) will proudly announce the 2004 winners of the REALTOR® of the Year, Affiliate of the Year, REALTOR® Community Service Award, Rookie of the Year and the Chairman’s Award. ABoR recognizes the following REALTORS® for their outstanding efforts.

Joe Cline of Coldwell Banker United Realtors REALTORS® has been chosen as the Rookie of the Year based upon his overall contribution to the real estate profession. A REALTOR® for less than 18 months, Cline closed sales totaling $2,607,356. His designations and certifications include: Accredited Buyer Representative, as well as a certified Home Marketing Specialist among others. A fledgling member of ABoR, Cline has dedicated a great deal of time to the Association. He has participated with the Professional Development Education Committee and monitored several training sessions, including: Mandatory Ethics Training, Real Estate Professional Assistant Training, GRI Designation, Habitability Standards and Residential Mortgage Lending to name a few. He also participated in 2004’s Realty Round Up.

The required classes for most licensees amount to 2 days of education per year. While being in the residential real estate business for many years may show you are a competent salesperson, it does not prove that you keep current on the laws, guidelines, and changing business environment surrounding the trade.
